Looking for the ideal beach hideaway for rest, relaxation, downtime, and fun?
Escape to Oak Island and visit our home, “9th Street Sandy Feet” which sits on
the wooded side of the island while still providing convenient access to the beach
and Intracoastal Waterway.

Want to catch the sunrise or sunset? Take a breathtaking walk with your four-legged
furry friend (we are pet friendly) to the end of the street for access to the 9th
Street Marsh Walk leading to the beach. If you are looking to drop a fishing line
in the water, take a walk down the opposite end of the street to access the
Intracoastal Waterway and to visit Veterans Park just a short distance down
Yacht Drive. More opportunities abound for outdoor fun when you take
advantage of the kayaks, bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas located at the
property for your use.

Between appreciating fun in the sun, this home welcomes you into the living room
that features a sizable sectional and coffee table with two accent chairs centered
around a flat screen TV. In the entertainment center you will find a wide variety
of DVD’s for your viewing. A enormous selection of games, books, and puzzles for all
ages are also available so your family fun around the coffee table can continue
into the nighttime!

The living room feeds into the cavernous kitchen and dining area where you can
prepare up a delicious meal and savor it with your entire group. The kitchen is
outfitted full of all cooking accouterments imaginable in addition to the basic
essentials such as pots, pans and serving dishes.

The master bedroom flows off the living area and features a queen bed, flat
screen TV, and private bath. A bookshelf lined with reading materials is ready for
you to appreciate peaceful time in the comfortable reading corner of the room.
The final two bedrooms feed off the opposite side of the living room. Both
spaces offer queen beds, ample closet space and a flat screen TV. The two
rooms share a full bathroom with access down the shared hallway.

Want to discover the island? An owner-included golf cart is available on site for
your use at any time and can be rented for an additional fee of $350 per week.
After an enchanting day exploring the island, light up the fire pit in the backyard
and relax in the seats and swing that line the outdoor area. You can also kick
back in the front porch rocking chairs and swing to end your day by listening to
the sounds of the ocean.

We are pet-friendly year-round and during off-season monthly units!

We look forward to your stay at “9th Street Sandy Feet”!

How to find the best vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and choose your prefectrental:

  • Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 9th Street Sandy Feet: Cozy Beach Cottage with Firepit Near Marsh Walk and Park has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area beach you simply love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
