Are you ready for a new day, A New Tide? Then it’s time to seize the moment and take that beach vacation you’ve been dreaming about! Look no further than this coastal cool oceanfront home on Oak Island’s west end that features a private, seasonal swimming pool. Awash in natural light and decorated with the colors of the sand and the sea, your group will really find a home away from home here. That home can also welcome up to two dogs per reservation, so pack up the whole crew for adventures by the sea.

Upon entering the home from the central staircase, follow the hallway to the right before taking a fast left. There’s a sense of anticipation as you turn out of the hallway where beauty awaits you. South-facing windows frame awe-inspiring vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. The open concept living area echoes the beauty just outside the door.

In the southeast corner of this space sits the living area. Light streams in from windows that punctuate the vaulted ceiling and falls on a huge sectional couch and two side chairs laid out to encourage conversation. A TV sits against the east wall, next to a modest round table with chairs that offers an ideal location for card games, puzzles and more. Against the neutral backdrop of the walls and furnishings, guests will find tonal blues throughout the decorative pillows and vases. Warm wood accents and other thoughtfully selected décor create and aura of welcoming relaxation.

In the southwestern corner of the open living area lies the dining table, which has seating for six and spectacular ocean vistas around every corner. Four Parisian blue and white bistro stools at the kitchen counter expand the available seating.

From the same kitchen counter, guests can prep memorable family meals or even share clean-up duties for the day without losing sight of the glistening waves. Besides this great prep space, the kitchen features white shaker-style cabinets, an ocean blue subway tile backsplash, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances.

After long, joy-filled days on the beach, A New Tide’s four bedrooms offer guests comfortable spaces to rest their heads. The first bedroom is located on the first floor, in the northwest corner of the home. This bedroom is furnished with a queen bed draped in a white textured quilt that is accented by a blue throw with a shell motif. Two side tables flank the bed and a dresser and chair round out the room. This bedroom shares a hall bathroom with the second bedroom located on this level. The second bedroom is a great space for the teens or kids in your group as it’s outfitted with one double bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed. There is also a dresser and shark and mermaid décor to add to the fun of this room.

As you head upstairs, look up to take in the delicate shell chandelier bathed in natural light from the enormous windows in this space. The remaining two bedrooms are located on the second floor. The third bedroom is a sizable master suite in the southwestern corner of this level decorated in contrasting black and white. This space features a king bed, sliding glass doors with expansive vistas, a dresser and even a dedicated work space with a TV. The ensuite bath feature his-and-her sinks.

The fourth and final bedroom is located in the northeastern corner of the second floor and is a boho-inspired dream filled with calming neutrals and palm branch décor. This room is furnished with two doubles, a bedside table, an armoire with constructed-in mirror and a blue upholstered rattan chair. Peek outside the window for vistas of the Intracoastal Waterway across the street.

Giant families will also appreciate the loft located on the second floor. This area overlooks the living room and features a couch, T.V. and game table. Don’t let the fun stop here though. A New Tide also offers fun outdoor games like ladder ball and corn hole. With all this vacation home has to offer, are you ready to experience the fun for yourself? Then don’t resist the pull of the tides. Whether you’re looking to book a summer week, a nightly stay of three nights or more in the off season or an off-season monthly rental, A New Tide is ready to welcome you to Oak Island!

Our top Rental booking tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To book the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
