Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection.   • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise.
