Tips to get the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Beautiful,Oceanfront,5BR\/3.5BA Home-Walk to Stores&Food-PETS-Sleeps11 has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
