Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To book the best rental home within budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Finding the perfect rental in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Azure Waves- Oceanfront 4br condo w\/ 2 pools, tennis court, and ocean views has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
