From the front porch swing to the repurposed sewing machine vanity this infant blue bungalow is packed with appeal and comfort. As much as you may want to relax in the backyard all day, I highly recommend exploring the area. Within a half-mile radius you will find handsome historic homes, 2 county parks and many local eateries, bottle stores, and a local distillery which offers live music on the weekends. For the calming evenings in there is a grocery store less than a mile away and the kitchen has all of the cooking silverware you will need. Feel complimentary to listen to a vinyl in the collection on the record player, or you can visit Gravity Records just down the road to find your own gem. Also close by are vintage thrift stores, the Downtown Riverwalk, and Independence Mall. Of course, it would be an injustice not to mention that the beach only a 15 min. commute. This home is ideal for an entertainment packed vacation, or a peaceful home away from home. Cleanliness and comfort is our top priority. Fresh linens, towels, and furnishings covers will be included with every stay.

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
