Located under sprawling Live Oaks, this freshly-constructed four-bedroom/3.5-bath Bald Head Island Maritime Forest getaway beckons you to relax in a rocker on its beautiful front porch and listen to cicada lullabies. When you step into the entry of this sparkler, you'll appreciate the thought that went into designing this home. Here is a constructed-in bench and cubbies-the ideal spot to unload. Around the corner, a mudroom comes from the garage and has the laundry located off it. Beyond, the open floor plan is surrounded by walls of windows that provide natural light and frame the peaceful, wooded surroundings. Just one look at the relaxing scenery and you will feel yourself relax. The comfortable living area offers plenty of seating and opens to a cavernous screened porch that overlooks the private backyard.

Chefs will relish the kitchen's vast quartz counters, stainless appliances-including a wine/drink refrigerator, the huge island and ample storage. Appreciate snacks or meals at the breakfast bar or in the handsome close by dining space. A convenient King suite, featuring a deep walk-in closet and-behind a barndoor-its own ensuite with a sizable, tiled shower, dual vanity and water closet, is also located on the first floor along with a half bath. Vaulted stairs lead up to three family-friendly bedrooms. The first is a bunkroom with two Queens and two Twins. It shares a Jack-and-Jill (including a tub shower) with a roomy Queen bedroom that homes its own reading nook. A second King suite on this level features forest and golf course vistas as well as two closets and a pampering full bath. All bedrooms are equipped with Intelligent TVs.

Your kids will appreciate this home's ping pong table, corn hole boards, yard-size Jenga and Bocce Ball, not to mention the many board games and puzzles. You'll appreciate the home's classic details such as shiplap, wide-planked LVP, crown molding and stylized light fixtures. Centrally located close to the beach, stores and dining-this property comes with the use of two 2022 golf carts (a four- and a six-passenger) as well as four beach chairs, four body boards and four bicycles. Money saving strategies:

  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your Cape Fear area rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.

  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
