How to find the best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose and book your Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beach House has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
