This memorable place is anything but ordinary. The Charlotte Jean is a great hideaway from the world. She features a comfortable sleeping area in the front of the boat, couch, galley and dining table that converts to 2nd bed. Located in a peaceful marina on the intracoastal waterway yet only a few min. drive or 10 min. walk to the beach. Watch the sunrise and sunset from the community dock chairs or the top deck of your vacation getaway.

Guests have access to the entire boat, however we do ask guests to use the bathroom facilities in clubhouse adjacent to the dock rather than the bathroom on board.
There are nice, clean bathrooms as well as showers located a 1 min. walk from the boat. Think glamping when considering the Charlotte Jean.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and picking the perfect Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Charlotte Jean - 33ft Cozy Carver Mariner- Unique Stay on the Water has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. text the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
