About this Property

  • House boat

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. The Charlotte Jean is a great hideaway from the world. She features a comfortable sleeping area in the front of the boat, couch, galley and dining table that converts to 2nd bed. Located in a peaceful marina on the intracoastal waterway yet only a few min. drive or 10 min. walk to the beach. Watch the sunrise and sunset from the community dock chairs or the top deck of your vacation getaway.

Guests have access to the entire boat, however we do ask guests to use the bathroom facilities in clubhouse adjacent to the dock rather than the bathroom on board.
There are nice, clean bathrooms as well as showers located a 1 min. walk from the boat. Think glamping when considering the Charlotte Jean.

Strategies to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Charlotte Jean - 33ft Cozy Carver Mariner- Unique Stay on the Water has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
