This classic Bald Head Island bungalow greets you with an open deck for lingering while appreciating the tree breezes and birdsong -(Painted Buntings often spotted). Inside, the open floor plan starts with a window-surrounded living room boasting plenty of natural light and multiple vistas of the Island's resplendent Maritime Forest. You can snuggle here on the comfortable furnishings, or step outside onto the back porch and listen to the sounds of the west beach surf. This is the ideal spot for dining under the stars and enjoying the outdoor living this home provides. A side enclosed porch provides a private work out gym overlooking the live oaks.

Back inside, the XL kitchen affords places for all to gather while the chefs will delight in the kitchen's many amenities for cooking up great meals and memories. This floor also homes two King bedrooms and two full baths. If you just have to work while you are here (hopefully not) you can spend time in the peaceful office/sitting room with full desk behind French doors. This room also features a sleeper couch for more guest space.

Upstairs, a third bright bedroom awaits with one queen bed, a single size day bed, and a cozy couch for mid-day naps and a full bath. This well-appointed home provides everything you need to make your BHI vacation a special one.

Climb to the top of “Old Baldy,” which is the oldest lighthouse on the East coast. It was constructed in 1817 and originally commissioned by Thomas Jefferson. Hike and wind your way around live oaks hundreds of years old and through the nature paths that Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers used in the ancient Maritime Forest. An fresh grocery market, spa, and shopping area is a short golf cart ride away. Discover the Bald Head Island Conservancy at the end of South Beach, where you can learn about the island’s wildlife. Sign up for classes, including the fashionable evening “turtle walks” to search for and observe nesting Loggerhead Turtles and if your timing is right, even watch their hatchlings heading to the ocean for the first time!
