Sand Dollar Cottage is an open floor plan home with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths on the striking Bald Head Island. Walk, bicycle, or ride the golf cart to the beach in mins.! Short ride to the market & marina. The home was newly professionally redesigned and remodeled with a coastal interior. The charmingly modernized kitchen has all new appliances, cabinets, and countertops. The cavernous family & dining area is open to the Carolina room for additional living space. Savor the sound of the ocean from the huge deck with astounding seating areas, dining table & grille.

There are 2 master bedrooms each with a king bed and en suite bathroom. You can get some sun & read a book on the sun deck lounge chairs off the master bedroom. There are two additional bedrooms with two twin beds and one queen.

The village of Bald Head Island is a golf cart only community. The bungalow includes 2 golf carts (4 persons each). While the island has a limited number of businesses, there are multiple eateries, stores, and a market for groceries.

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is by the sea. Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.

  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
