The Space:
Designed for comfort and relaxation, we chose a layout and amenities we would hope for in a vacation rental.
The reverse style floorplan of the home makes it ideal to share with friends and family and provides better vistas of the ocean and sunrises from the top floor.
The lower level is where you access the home, and also features a covered parking area, outdoor shower and half bath which is convenient during beach days. The home also has an elevator, which makes it convenient to move your supplies and bags, or for people who have difficulty with stairs.
On the main floor, there is a master bedroom with full bath and a covered walkout porch. Down the hall is the first of two spare bedrooms with a bunk bed - full on the top, full on the bottom. The second of two spare bedrooms also features a bunk bed - single on the top, full on the bottom. The spare bedrooms share a full size bath located between the two rooms. The main floor is also where the laundry room is located, with front-loading washer and dryer.
On the top floor you'll appreciate a completely furnished, roomy kitchen with a dual stove and gas cooktop, plentiful cabinet space, a sizable granite countertop and stainless steel appliances. We've also had a whole home Kinetco water filtration and reverse osmosis system installed. Just beyond the kitchen is an open dining area, game table and living room with huge screen intelligent TV. Outside the living room is a walkout covered porch to savor the weather or watch the sunrise! Also on the top floor is a bedroom with queen-size bed and a full bath.
Guest Access:
While you're staying here, the home will be your private beach getaway. You'll have access through the main door or via the elevator, whichever is easiest and most convenient for the guests.
Interactions with Guests:
For check-in, you will receive a personalized keyless entry code for the door on the lower level. Once inside, we'll provide a key for the door to access the elevator. You can arrive anytime after 4 PM on your first day and leave by 11 AM on your last day.
Though we will not be at the home during your stay, we are only a text or phone call away. We have pulled together a list of our favorite local spots and adventures which will be supplied to you to help make the most of your stay.
Other Things to Note:
Please bag all your trash / recycling and make sure to put it in the proper container located in the parking area during your stay and upon departure. If you would like additional cleaning service during your stay, that can be arranged after booking and before your stay for an additional fee.
The home is also our personal vacation home and one we plan to pass down the family, so please treat it as you would your own, leaving it in the same or better condition than you found it (minus the cleaning, which the crew will take care of for you).

How to find the best Cape Fear area vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are high season in Carolina Beach. To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- To start, have your group choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Townhouse a block from beach, Ocean facing, EZ Access elevator, Covered parking! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is right for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Additional considerations:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- During check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
