More details:

This home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms. It can comfortably sleep 2 families. In the downstairs, there is another bedroom and half bathroom. There is not, however, an internal staircase between the 2 floors.

As you enter the property, the front door opens into an open area with the living room, kitchen, and dining room all in one sizable space. To the right you’ll find the bedrooms. The back of the home has a deck that is ideal for sharing a cold drink after a long day at the beach.

Down the stairs you’ll find another outdoor seating area and then inside to a secondary living room, ping pong table, and the additional bedroom.

The front of the home has an outdoor shower for getting the sand off your toes - or a full blown shower as it has a hot water line.

We are thrilled to share our little piece of heaven with you!

PS. The name of our home is from the country music song by Dierks Bentley - our oldest daughters favorite song and her first ever concert. She is so proud to have this cute little beach bungalow named after one of our favorite family memories!!

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Oak Island. To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Cape Fear area restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.

How to choose the best rental home in Oak Island:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Comfy home, 3rd row, step from the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
