Tips to get the best vacation home experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose yourrental home:

  • Select vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. CORAL SURF C-1 OCEANFRONT 2 BR & 2 BTH. PRIVATE 240V EV CHARGER & 110V OUTLET has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
