Getting the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To book the best rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Cozy Coastal Cottage - 3 BR\/Fenced in Back Yard has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. text the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
