Booking the best Cape Fear area rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your Cape Fear area vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the bestrental home:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Dog Friendly, only a 10 Min Walk To Beach, Fire Pit, Mins from Parks and Restaurants has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
