Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Wrightsville Beach. To find the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.

  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.

If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it.
