Cape Fear area vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the best rental home in Wrightsville Beach:

  • Start by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Home sweet home! 2BR\/2BA oceanfront condo w\/ pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area beach you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
