Cozy bungalow in the maritime forest (Merrytime Forest). Private community pool can only be used by Ibis Roost families and their guests (30 homes). Two NEW golf carts supplied for Summer 2019. Bald Head Island Club available as an option…simply arrange directly with the club (use of the pool, eateries, & exercise center are complimentary, with a modest fee for tennis courts and extraordinary golf course for cart and green fee). Full sized Weber gas grille, attractively decorated. Linens and towels, furnished (except beach towels). Five(5) bicycles available. Beach chairs, umbrella...too!

About the Area

Bald Head Island is home to this vacation home. Smith Island Museum of History and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are also worth visiting.

When to go & When to book:

• June, July, and August are high season in Bald Head Island. To get the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
• Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses.
