Guests consistently say "ideal location!"

If you want a peaceful, laid-back, private getaway in the middle of the thriving Wrightsville Beach scene, check out this little bungalow! Truly the best of both worlds, this 2 bedroom, 1 and ½ bath bungalow is located on a peaceful neighborhood one-way street with mostly foot traffic BUT also in the middle of everything at Wrightsville Beach. After a grocery run, you can park your car for the remainder of your stay because “all things fun” can be reached on foot. That’s right….the beach, the channel, great eateries, impressive coffee homes, surf stores, ice cream, supplies, and gifts are all within a 5-9 min walk. It is an outdoor enthusiast “candy store!” Bikes will get you there even faster. If you must drive, we have a WB resident parking pass for your use which accepts you to park right at the beach. What a deal!

Family Animals? $200 pet fee. Rules: 1. One dog only at the discretion of the owner. 2. No aggressive breeds - pit bull, chow, etc... 3. No dogs that bark a lot. We like our neighbors :-). 4. If they need to be on the furnishings, bring your own blankets to keep dirt/hair out of ours.

The Bungalow - Discover the cozy appeal of this 2 bedroom, 1 ½ bath bungalow with a calming screen porch and outdoor patio. Appreciate the breezes that blow through as you read a book, have a drink with a friend, or just ponder life. If you happen to visit during a month with an “R”, you must have an oyster roast on the vintage brick patio under trees. There is a comfortable living/kitchen/eating area where you can prepare fresh Mahi or Grouper from Motts Seafood, savor a glass of wine, or snuggle up to watch a movie. We appreciate the broad window bar that makes us feel as if we are still outdoors. Well-supplied kitchen with blender, toaster, kettle, microwave, and everything needed to prepare. The beds are cozy. Wifi accepts for streaming with Roku. The beds are super comfortable: Queen, 1 twin, and one futon. This home is not the "granite countertop experience, but it is a 1950's style laid-back throw back beach home. New for 2025 - full bath complete remodel and the kitchen floors have been restored to original wood - photos to be refreshed in May. The painless living and unbeatable location are why people return to the Island Bungalow.

We provide two bicycles. You can rent SUP, kayak, surfboard, and additional bicycles just a few mins. walk. 250 feet from our front door there is public access for simple entry into Bank's channel. You will certainly be able to relax in this comfortable home.

You can rent a boat, take a cruise, go fishing, or a scuba trip. Sign up for sailing lessons or go surfing camp. Just grab any kind of board or just dive in and get in on the action!
Surf and Paddleboard (SUP) - As one of the premier watersports destinations in the country, it’s a natural place to hold top-ranked surfing competitions and SUP events. Fishing: From USA Today…
“With two fishing piers and four miles of white sand beaches, the town of Wrightsville Beach is a prime destination for fishing. Wrightsville Beach overlooks the Atlantic Ocean along North Carolina's Outer Banks, and anglers can catch a variety of native and migratory saltwater game fish including summer flounder, speckled sea trout, and Spanish mackerel. Angling opportunities are available year-round.

Downtown Wilmington: Often referred to as “little Charleston” has been a great destination for great eateries, nightlife, NC Battleship, Riverwalk, Cruises, Historical tours, art stores, Cotton Exchange, Gem studios, Horse and Carriage rides, and a complimentary trolley. In the last couple of years, this area has become hot with growth adding Convention Center, Performing Arts Center, Marina, Riverwalk extension, public concerts, and Saturday morning farmers market. Soon there will be a new public park at the new marina. A trip here during your stay is a must….Ask about favorite eateries.

Our top Cape Fear area vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Wrightsville Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the perfect rental home:

  • Choose dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. \"Perfect location!\" Walk everywhere! Dogs Yay! Full bath Reno 2025! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area attraction you crave, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
