5 Kings | 1 Queen | 1 Twin-over-twin Bunk Bed | 1 Twin-over-twin Bunk Bed with Trundle | 1 Twin-over-king Bunk Bed with Trundle

Be among the first to savor this beautiful eight-bedroom oceanfront home, freshly finished in 2023. Kings Kraken is the ideal hideaway for your family and up to two dogs! Located between the Eastern Channel of the Intracoastal Waterway and the beach, the vistas will have you flitting from room to room to catch a glimpse from each window.

Walking in, you'll first notice the calming blue wall color contrasts gorgeously with bamboo floors. Wander down the hall to find five total bedrooms on this floor. To the right, you'll come across two rooms with a separate bathroom between them: there is a twin-over-king bunk bed with a trundle in one and a king bed in the other.

A bedroom containing two twin-over-twin bunk beds, one with a trundle, is the only bedroom without balcony access. This bedroom shares a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with another bedroom that features a queen bed. Another bedroom with a king-sized bed features an en-suite bathroom on this floor.

Open the outside door and find a partially covered deck with a private pool. You can watch the ocean waves while swimming laps! This home also has an outdoor shower to rinse your sandy feet before walking onto the deck and a picnic table is available for family meals adored with a sea breeze. You'll also appreciate the game room, complete with a pool table, dart board and corn hole.

Up the stairs, you'll find the open-concept living space, a great place to enjoy time together as a family. Kings Kraken's well-equipped kitchen provides two fridges in case you came equally well-prepared with ingredients! It also has elegant lighting fixtures and a pretty tile backsplash. The huge dining table seats ten, with four additional chairs at the kitchen island.

The living room has plenty of comfortable seating where guests can mingle and play board games, with a big T.V. to stream your favorite shows. Walk out the door to the oceanfront balcony, where you can sit in the rockers and watch the waves lap against the shore or eat at the patio table with the sound of ocean waves in the background.

The primary bedroom adjacent to the living room has a king bed, windows up to the ceiling and a sliding farm door to the en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Down the hall, the other two bedrooms also have king beds, with balcony access overlooking the Eastern Channel. There is a separate bathroom between these rooms.

A very kid-friendly property, Kings Kraken's amenities include a high chair, infant gate and Pack 'n' Play travel crib. There are also kid-proof alarms near the pool to provide added safety for your little ones. The rental comes with an elevator and step-complimentary access bathrooms for those with limited mobility. There is keyless entry and wireless internet access, plus a TV in every bedroom. There is also a washer and dryer, so you're not bringing those sandy towels home! A level 2 EV charger with a dual adaptor is even included and is compatible with all electric cars.

Walk closer to the sand with ease using a personal pathway that leads over the dunes in front of the home. From there, it's a short jaunt across the public beach access area to the pristine beach of The Point. This property is located under half a mile from the Point, a trendy spectacular spot on the island, which is only an eight-min. walk. A mile away is Lonerider Brewpub, a local favorite and a great spot to sip a craft beer while watching boats drift by on the waterway. Tips and Tricks to get the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • To get the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Kings Kraken: Beautiful Home with Direct Beach Access and Views of Waterway has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area attraction you crave, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
