Mello Yello Sea Casa features an marvelous 2nd row location with wide open vistas of the ocean blue, and it's economical and clean too!  2 enormous bedrooms with two comfortable queen-size beds in each will sleep up to 8 in your event.  Complemented by two full bathrooms and a living area for everybody to sit, eat, watch intelligent TV or play games.  Mello Yello is the traditional beach bungalow with modern touches and beachy décor which will have you in your salt life beach mode the entire time.  But the best part is stepping outside onto your own private sundeck to take in the fantastic vistas, watch the pelicans fly in formation in the wind or shrimp boats hauling in their fresh catch filled nets.  There is nothing like that smell of salty air and sandy beach and Mello Yello puts you right in the center of it all!  Beach access is relatively simple for you and the younger kids in the crew and there is a nice sized space underneath the home for playing games, grilling and listening to music out of the hot sunlight.  What are you waiting for its time to appreciate cold drinks on the outside deck, cast your surf pole for dinner, throw horseshoes or fly kites with the kids because there is always something to do at the beach!  Located close to all of Oak Island’s attractions and a short walk to Ocean Crest Pier while close by Middleton Street offers painless access on and off the island.  Departure maid service is supplied, linen package for an additional fee.  Saturday to Saturday only in Prime/Peak seasons, 3-day min. in all other seasons.  No Smoking or Animals of any kind. Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. To get the most suitable vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Cape Fear area restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
