How to find the best rental home experience:

When to visit Wilmington & When to reserve a rental home:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. New! Game Room + Close to Beach has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area beach you love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
