Our top Rental home booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 0103 Relax You're At The Beach by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish which bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
