Finding the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in Carolina Beach. To find the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your Search:
- Select dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 0304 Bountiful Bliss by Atlantic Towers has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Cape Fear area beach you long to visit, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
