House Rules
-No family pets
-No smoking on the property premises (including inside the unit, in the stairwell, on the deck/patio, or on the property grounds). Violating this rule will cause a $500 additional cleaning fee.
-No events or events
-Must be at least 25 years old to book
-The HOA must have access to the unit the first Thursday of every month for a routine pest control treatment. This is typically in the morning but potentially could be variable. It should only take a few mins.. If there are no guests present at the time of their arrival, then the HOA/pest crew shall have the right to use a code to enter and treat the unit and will lock up afterwards. If they are not allowed entrance, I am charged a $75 fee and that will be passed on to you.

About the Area

Located in Carolina Beach, this condo is on the waterfront. Federal Point History Center and Ocean Front Park are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Legion Stadium. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and cycling nearby.

Sticking to a budget:

  • Book your Cape Fear area rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.   • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.

If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it.
