4 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms
1 King | 1 Queen | 1 Double | 2 Twin-over-twin Bunk Beds

Surrounded by tons of trees and greenery, this four-bedroom, two-bathroom property is a real getaway just two blocks from the ocean and with simple access to Oak Island attractions.

A short walk inland on the Scenic Trail leads over the canal and directly to the kayak and canoe launch. Among the other inland entertainments are the splash park, skate park, squash and tennis courts and playground equipment. The king bedroom and one of the queen bedrooms open onto waterway vistas. Two sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds and one bedroom with a double bed complete the sleeping accommodations for up to 10 people. Every piece of furnishings and decorative accent is top-quality. Each room is a delight, from the vibrant blue rocking chairs and side table on the front porch to the elegantly colored duvets on sleigh beds in two of the rooms and both sets of white bunk beds covered in fanciful ocean-themed linens in a sea-blue room. The bedrooms are carpeted and gleaming wood floors cover all other areas, with the exception of tile floor in the baths and separate laundry room.

A patterned blue and sand colored rug in the living room seating area compliments the like-colored couch and chairs. Flat screen TVs are in all bedrooms and there is wireless internet access throughout. The kitchen is not just state-of-the-art functional, but an eye-pleaser as well. Granite countertops on every work surface pick up the color and theme of the bathroom vanities. A mini-tile splash guard behind the stove adds the ideal accent to this exceptional kitchen. The dining area seats six, with an additional outdoor table and four chairs on the huge screened back porch.

Stroll out to appreciate the marsh vistas on the dock added in 2020. A convenient enclosed hot and cold shower is located under the back deck. Generous windows throughout the home offer vistas of gently swaying trees from virtually every vantage point.

Though family pets are not allowed, please note that occasionally a dog may be present during an owner stay for those guests who are allergic to pets.

Tips to get the very best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • To get the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking the rightrental:

  • Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ale of a Good Time: Large Screened Porch in Leafy Bower has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, email the property owner before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
