Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean view&priv.Beach access only 50 ft cosy&Art has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
