How to find the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best rental home within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Cape Fear area restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and pick a perfect Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. OCEANFRONT Spectacular View Linens\/Towels Inc 5BR 3BA Lrge Kitchen 2 Ocean Decks has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
