Our top Cape Fear area rental home booking tips:

When to visit & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your Cape Fear area rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Spacious clean condo, large pool, plus many extras. Perfect for families. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
