Savor beautiful sunsets from the roomy deck overlooking the Atlantic or head down your private beach access to the best shelling beach on Bald Head. As you step into this oceanfront beauty, you are greeted by a wall of windows looking out to the marvelous private pool and the sweeping ocean vistas beyond. This traditional home provides an open floor-plan living area with soaring vaulted ceilings and plenty of space for the entire family. The gourmet kitchen features impressive granite counters and stainless appliances-including a gas range, double ovens, and a drink refrigerator. Appreciate your meal in one of the dining areas-the more formal dining table comfortably seats eight while the constructed-in nook accommodates an additional six. You can also eat at the table on the pool deck or at the table in the screen porch.

The three suites on the main level each home their own private full bath. The first bedroom features a King and a generous walk-in closet. The second is furnished with two roomy Queens and the third is a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds and a single. Make sure to check out the striking view greeting you at the top of the steps, where sliding doors open onto a private deck offering expansive seascapes. The enormous King Master suite upstairs delivers plenty of privacy. The spa-like Master bath also pampers with its granite his and hers sinks, a soaking tub and a giant shower.

If being outside is your enjoyment, the sizable swimming pool's upsized deck affords fantastic water vistas and great sunbathing opportunities. Plus, there’s plenty of seating. For those looking for a little shade, there is not only a screened porch but also a covered deck and a covered patio-all, again, with ample seating.

Want something a little sandier? Take a short walk out on your private beach boardwalk to the warm sands and inviting waters of the Atlantic! This is the ideal spot on the Island to watch the ships go by or relax and take in the pretty sunsets.

Our top Rental home booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Poolside Paradise-4BR\/4.5BA, Private Pool, Ocean Views & Luxury! has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
