Other things to note
House’s Restaurant is located directly across from the condo and has an occasional band and karaoke nights. It makes for an delightful nighttime and I highly suggest checking it out.

The condo is dog-friendly but there is a limit of 2 dogs. Size doesn’t concern me but being respectful does. Please do not allow dogs on furnishings(beds, couch, etc) and walk them regularly to avoid accidents in the condo. If an accident should occur, please clean immediately. You will be responsible for any damage and additional cleaning costs should damage occur. Cleaning supplies are under the kitchen sink. Please do not allow dogs to run in the condo as it disturbs the tenants below and can be destructive to the property. Please do not allow dogs to go to the bathroom on the sidewalks or areas where people walk. There is a designated area for dogs located in the grassy area across from The Village Activity Center.

If you plan to take your pups to the beach, below are the beach rules per Brunswick County-
From the Friday preceding Memorial Day through Labor Day, dogs are not allowed on the beach between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. After 6:00 p.m. and before 8:00 a.m., dogs are allowed on a leash no longer than 10 feet. After Labor Day and before the Friday preceding Memorial Day, dogs are allowed all day but must be leashed.
Just remember, whenever you're on the beach with your dog regardless of location, please be respectful of others and the environment, and clean up after your pet.

Sea Trail offers 2 pools that are supplied in your stay.
PLEASE NOTE-The Village Activity Center is located directly across from the condo and consists of an additional outdoor pool, an indoor pool, and other activities. The Village Activity Center requires an ADDITIONAL fee to use the amenities. This fee is not supplied in your stay. Fees can be supplied upon request.

While the condo is treated regularly for pests, Palmetto bugs are very common around places near the ocean and you may see them on occasion.

Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Booking your Cape Fear area vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the rightrental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family decide on dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Sea Trail Plantation, Close To The Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
