Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Cape Fear area rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking your Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Sea Grace 2, Oceanfront, Pool, & Pet Friendly! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
