Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

• The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Cape Fear area restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
• Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
• Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
