How to find the best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

When to visit Wrightsville Beach & When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Cape Fear area restaurants and activities.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Sound & Sea - Beautiful home on the South end of Wrightsville has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area beach you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
