Getting the best Cape Fear area rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the best Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Discount Alert!- 10% off all December Rentals! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area beach you long to visit, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
