How to get the best rental experience:

When to book a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Wrightsville Beach. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Charming 3 BR townhouse with sound views! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
