Tricks and tips for getting the best Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your Cape Fear area rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • To start, have your group commit to trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Gorgeous 6 BR Oceanfront Home w 2 Living Spaces! has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is right for your group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
