Many guests have commented that Dune Just Fine, a second row home, has the feel of an ocean front property without the higher cost. Just a 66 SECOND walk via the neighborhood's private beach access puts your toes in the sand! Appreciate spectacular vistas of the surf from the main living area or spiral up to the Crow's Nest and take in a 360 degree expansive of the entire island as you chill in one of the two swivel bar stools up top.

Not in a beach mood? No worries! Just catch catch a few poolside rays while you stream or cast a game on the 70 inch intelligent TV at the OASIS BAR AND GRILL! The backyard is a private tropical getaway with a lush, green lawn, striking salt water pool, swaying palms and other exotic tropical plants, comfortable lounge chairs, a cushy sectional in the late afternoon shade and outdoor shower. The OASIS BAR AND GRILL features a stainless steel constructed-in cooler, sink and half-size refrigerator. There are 8 poly-wood swivel bar stools for just hanging out. Poolside we have 7 lounge chairs and a sectional couch. And there’s a enormous 8 foot picnic table with umbrella for family gatherings, games or dining. You’ll also find a bluetooth amp and speakers at OB&G to stream tunes from your mobile device. You’ll find 14 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a ladder ball game and a corn hole set in the garage.

Dune Just Fine has been meticulously maintained with pride in an effort to always have that "new home feel" . We have continued to roll rental income back into DJF each year to keep it one of the most desired properties on Holden Beach. This year you'll appreciate a brand new extravagant chef's kitchen with a gigantic and striking island, elegant leathered granite countertops, bright pendant lighting and a spectacular chandelier over the dining table..

The five bedrooms consist of 3 KING bedrooms,1 bedroom with two queens and 1 bedroom with a pair of double bunk beds. DJF will comfortably sleep 14. Four bedrooms have their own private bath. The bunk room has access to another full bath just outside its door on the upper level. There is another half-bath on the midlevel.

The home has a washer/dryer, a port-a-playpen/sleeper and highchair as well as an iron and ironing board. All bedrooms have their own flat screen TVs with ROKU streaming. All bathrooms have a hairdryer.

The reverse open floor plan is very fashionable as guests can stay connected in the massive top level living area that blends a entirely appointed chef's kitchen, a humongous island with bar seating for 4, a huge farmhouse dining table and a modern living room with ample seating and a giant intelligent TV and sound system. Guests can dine outside on the poly-wood dining set on the upper deck. Feeling competitive? Policy benefits can be customized to expand coverage for cancellations due to a multitude of reasons other than storms. While neither DJF or Vacation Rental By Owner sell Travel Insurance, Vacation Rental By Owner recommends Travel Insurance supplied and underwritten by Generali Global, U.S. Branch. Strategies to get the best Holden Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Select vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. THE PERFECT FAMILY BEACH HOME! has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
