Strategies for getting the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book a perfectvacation home:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. This apartment is a 1 bedroom(s), 1 bathrooms, located in Wilmington, NC. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
