Tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. To book the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose your prefectrental:

  • To start, have your family decide on date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. ~Updated~ Top Floor Oceanfront Penthouse - Pool, Large Deck, Stunning Views!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
