Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking a perfect Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Walk to the beach or kayak and fish on the Davis Canal! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
