Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Holden Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best value, try changing your family's Cape Fear area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking the best Cape Fear area rental home:

  • To start, have your family choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. POOL - Waterfront and Dreamy Views - Private Beach Access has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
