Wonderful home located on the marsh with magnificant vistas of wildlife and acres of marshland viewable from the living room or deck. Excellent vistas of Bald Head Creek all the way to Cape Fear River. Savor kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and crabbing with the kids right off the private neighborhood dock connected to the home by a boardwalk. The home features an refreshed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, wine refrigerator and granite counter tops. New en suite bathroom for 2015! New expanded deck (2016) facing the marsh with wrought iron table, 6 chairs and umbrella. New wood floor installed throughout the home in 2018.
A tandem kayak and 2 individual kayaks are available to kayak on the marsh directly behind the home.
It's an simple walk to the marina, eateries and Old Baldy. The grocery store is a fast drive by golf cart. Several beaches are comfortably accessible by golf cart. Swimming pool and dining are available with a Bald Head Island Club membership. (Separate fee charged by BHI club) NO GOLF

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting. • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
• Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
• Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses.
