Sunrise in your Slippers" is a 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo located at Timbercreek. The vistas are spectacular from the main living area, master bedroom, screen porch and deck. We are literally steps away from the marsh with it right in your own back yard! The screen porch is one of our favorites, which is off of the living room. The master suite has a king size bed with it's own private deck with a view. It is just ideal for your morning coffee. The guest bedroom consists of 2 twin beds and a bath. Our simple, cozy home is just the right place for your calming vacation! There is also a community pool for your usage. We have plenty of beach gear and 2-4 passenger carts.

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this condo is near the beach. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Finding the best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's an individual Cape Fear area destination you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
