How to find the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer time is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the largest rental home within budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book your prefect Cape Fear area rental:

  • First, have your family agree to trip dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Wish Granted: End unit in Carolina Surf has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Contact the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
