Strategies for getting the best Cape Fear area rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Wrightsville Dunes B-1C - Ocean front first floor condo with a pool has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area attraction you are enamored with, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
