Our top Cape Fear area rental booking tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation rental in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Spectacular views in this 2BR Station One Condo! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's an individual Cape Fear area attraction you long to visit, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
