It is located in Sea Trails resort and is less than three miles from the sand of impressive Sunset Beach. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in this second-floor condo, and a cavernous living/dining/kitchen for everybody to gather. The second bedroom can also be divided into a “mini suite” with its own kitchenette and sitting area.

The "Villa" side of the condo includes a full kitchen with an island with seating for four. Adjacent is a dining area, and all is open to the living area. There is a single bedroom on this side with a queen and a full-size bed and a full bathroom, plus a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.

On the "Mini-suite" side there is another full bathroom and sleeping area with a queen and full-size bed, with a sizable sitting area and a kitchenette. Both the Villa and the Mini-suite have private entrances.

Tricks and tips to get the best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to select the best rental in Sunset Beach:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. The Great Escape - Updated and spacious condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is optimal for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
