Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Ocean Isle Beach rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the largest rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Beach cottage located on a natural canal- 4 bedroom has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Additional considerations:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
